Roger Christianson

Roger Christianson is an Emeritus Professor of Biology at Southern Oregon University. Starting at SOU in Fall 1980, his primary responsibility was coordination and teaching in the Biology Department's program for non-majors, General Biology, until his retirement in 2014. He also served as department chair in 1996 and also 1997 – 2003.
In 2002, Dr. Christianson assumed the position of Executive Director of the Pacific Division of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), based in Washington, D.C. Since that time, SOU has hosted the office(s) of the AAAS, Pacific Division on campus in the Science Building. Dr. Christianson currently continues in the position as Executive Director, and is presently working on the Division's annual meeting, to be held this June at the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona). Next year the meeting will be hosted on campus here at SOU!
